随着网络技术的发展和普及，计算机管理信息系统在企业管理中扮演着重要的角色。高效率、无差错的医院住院管理系统的开发适应了时代的需要，本系统的主要目的是告别手工操作，安全快捷地保存数据信息，节约时间，从而提高速度和准确性。

使用计算机系统前医院的管理都是手工操作。手工操作手续繁杂，不方便管理，不能保证数据的准确性和及时性，不仅浪费人力、物力和时间，重要的是手工操作可能造成数据录入的错误，影响工作效率﹔为了提高企业管理水平，根据计算机信息系统的基本原理和功能，结合医院的需求而设计出此信息管理系统，从而较好地提高医院的经济效益，促进其发展。
