No worries if you can’t make it to the venue though. For the first time ever we’ll be hosting Keynote Parties in our San Francisco, Bellevue and Montreal offices, which are open to the public — no GDC badge needed! Come grab a snack and drink, watch the keynote, and meet some of your fellow artists, developers, and gamers.

Not only that, but select Unity User Groups will also be hosting their own local viewing party events. To start, the Portland, OR and Austin, TX Unity User Groups will be hosting their communities, and we’re excited to add more locations soon! We encourage you to throw your own and invite other local game developers so we can all watch the excitement unfold together. The Unity at GDC page has location and RSVP details, with more locations coming soon.

We have a full day of in-depth sessions planned for our Developer Day on Tuesday, March 19 from 10:00am to 6:30pm PST. Come and learn about new and upcoming technologies in Unity, like how to create instant games with DOTS using Project Tiny.

In addition to Developer Day, we have a multitude of official GDC and sponsored sessions where you can gain insights on hot topics such as DOTS, Multiplayer, Machine Learning and AI, and more.

Attend “Connecting the DOTS: The Unity Data-Oriented Technology Stack” with Mike Acton and learn how it was applied in the Megacity sample project. Operating a multiplayer game on a global scale is quite challenging – grab some tips from Larry Rye in the session “Scaling Multiplayer Worlds for Success”.

The Unity team is hosting roundtable discussions at GDC and we’d love to hear your feedback. The roundtable will be held onsite at Unity’s San Francisco office and will take 1 hour. This is a small group discussion (meaning no stage or mass audience) with a few members of the Unity team. We’d love to use this unique opportunity to hear about your feedback on how we could help you in the future to be successful in your current and upcoming projects.

How time flies! It’s hard to believe we’ve been with you on your game development journeys for 15 years. And still, what comes out of this community never ceases to amaze us.
